Technical Properties | Swedox 500

Many years of experience in manufacturing cutting edges for wheel loaders and excavators, a well developed expertise in the area of product development, and an extreme degree of hardness in the boron alloyed steel we use make us unique.

All of these blades are manufactured from the best available boron alloyed steels supplied to Olofsfors by leading european steel mills. All blades are "Through-Hardened" to provide up to twice the wear life of the high-carbon equivalent. While other manufacturers still work with the high-carbon steels, making blades thicker to compete with the harder and tougher "Through-Hardened" edges, Olofsfors AB has invested in furnaces, quenches, and technology necessary to manufacture the highest quality "Through-Hardened" cutting edges in the most efficient manner possible.
